Welcome,

Crahan is a beautiful, tranquil Cornish country garden, surrounding the home of Sarah and Dave, and has been in Sarah’s family for generations. Pronounced ‘Crane’ the name celebrates the elegant birds, which famously mate for life, as well as being the longstanding place-name for the area.

Guests are welcome to use the space how they wish, bringing in marquees or teepees, and decorating the gardens and structures with bunting, flags, fairy lights, fans, ribbons, streamers…where does your imagination take you?

We have a variety of spaces available, including an artist-inspired hemisphere structure, which is completely unique, and can be decorated as you wish.

We also have space for several other temporary structures in different parts of the grounds, so you can spread out your entertainment, refreshment, quiet area and a safe place for children to play. There is a natural grotto/fairy hideaway area, below some fir trees, which is very popular with younger guests, and can be outfitted with cushions, mats and fairy lights. Our fire pit is also popular in the evenings, and for pre-event barbeques if you choose our whole-weekend option.

Our gardens are planted with mature trees and shrubs, offering a beautiful and varied backdrop for your photos, with extensive views of the rolling Cornish countryside beyond.

Guests are welcome to camp in our field, for up to two nights around an event booking. We have a trio of composting toilets, as well as dishwashing facilities, and are installing a disabled-access toilet in the same convenient block.

We have a beautiful garden room, as part of the house, which has a separate access, and can be used for your ceremony itself, pre-event craft activities, a sit-down meal for your closest family, a buffet set-up for the entire event, or whatever else you can imagine. It has level access, and independent heating, so is ideal for guests who might feel the chill if outside for too long.
